Swartswood Lakes and Watershed Association Inc. (SLWA) is a nonprofit 501c 3 organization which was formed in 1993. Our mission is to protect the water quality of Swartswood and Little Swartswood Lakes and preserve the lakes for recreational use. Swartswood lake (520 acres) and Little Swartswood Lake (84 acres) are glacier formed lakes located in Stillwater and Hampton Townships, Sussex County, New Jersey.  This watershed is primarily on public lands with over 2,000 acres of State Park, including swimming and picnic facilities, campgrounds, public boat launching, boat rentals and hunting and fishing. Enjoy the tranquil lakes where bald eagles soar and boats sail (electric motors only).
